Jalen Lecque
Jalen Evander Lecque (born June 13, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for Hapoel Afula of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. A consensus four-star recruit and former NC State commit, Lecque chose to forgo college basketball and immediately entered the 2019 NBA draft. Early life Lecque was born in Manhattan, New York and lived in The Bronx until he was three years old. Both of his parents worked in Harlem, his father at a barbershop and his mother at a hospital. As a toddler, Lecque moved with his family to Teaneck, New Jersey, where he attended elementary and middle school. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. 2023–24 NBA G League Season
The 2023–24 NBA G League season was the 23rd season of the NBA G League, the minor league basketball league of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Structure The Showcase Cup started in November 2023 and concluded with a single-elimination tournament to crown a champion at the G League Winter Showcase in December. During the Showcase Cup, teams were separated into four regional pods and played 16 games against one another in each of the respective NBA G League markets. The teams with the best winning percentage in each regional pod, along with the next four teams across the league with the best win percentages, advanced to play for the Showcase Cup during the Winter Showcase, which was held from December 19 to December 22. ''The News-Gazette'' is a daily newspaper serving eleven counties in the eastern portion of Central Illinois and specifically the Champaign–Urbana metropolitan area. Since November 2019 it is published daily Tuesday through Sunday. History Founding and early years ''Slam'' was launched in 1994 as a basketball magazine that combined the sport with hip hop culture at a time when the genre was becoming increasingly popular. The NC State Wolfpack men's basketball team represents North Carolina State University in NCAA Division I men's basketball competition. NC State is one of the seven founding members of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
