Jakub Štvrtecký
Jakub Štvrtecký (born 21 December 1998) is a Czech biathlete. He made his debut in the Biathlon World Cup in 2018. Career He made his international debut in 2016, at the World Youth Championships in Cheile Gradistei, where his best result was seventh in the sprint. The following season, he claimed a podium finish in the relay at the IBU Junior Cup. In 2018, he was sixth in the individual at the Junior World Championships in Otepää, then, a few months later at the Junior Summer Biathlon World Championships, he won the titles in the sprint and mixed relay. In 2018–2019, he made his senior debut at the IBU Cup, then at the World Cup in Hochfilzen, before being selected for the World Championships in Östersund. At the opening 2019-2020 World Cup event, he managed to score points with his 39th-place finish in the Östersund sprint. Vsetín () is a town in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 25,000 inhabitants. Lenzerheide ( Romansh: ''Lai'') is a mountain resort in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland at the foot of the Parpaner Rothorn. The village lies in the municipality Vaz/Obervaz in the district of Albula, sub-district Alvaschein. The village lies in a broadened section of the valley between the cantonal capital Chur to the north and Tiefencastel, beyond which are the Julier Pass and St Moritz. Biathlon World Championships 2024
The 2024 Biathlon World Championships took place from 7 to 18 February 2024 at the Vysočina Arena in Nové Město na Moravě, Czech Republic. After 2013, the championship was held for the second time in this location. The event was the highlight of the 2023–24 Biathlon World Cup, but was not included in its rankings (except for the national rankings). A total of 12 events were held: sprint, pursuit, individual, mass start and relay races for both men, women, single mixed relay and a mixed relay. The Biathlon World Championships 2021 took place in Pokljuka, Slovenia, from 9 to 21 February 2021. Biathlon at the Winter Olympics, Biathlon at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held at the National Biathlon Centre, in the 2022 Winter Olympics#Zhangjiakou Zone, Zhangjiakou cluster of competition venues, north of Beijing, at an elevation of , from 5 to 18 February 2022.
