A luger begins seated, propelling themselves initially from handles on either side of the start ramp, then steers by using the Calf (leg), calf muscles to flex the sled's runners or by exerting opposite shoulder pressure to the pod. Spišská Nová Ves
Spišská Nová Ves (; ; ) is a town in the Košice Region of Slovakia. The town is located southeast of the High Tatras in the Spiš region, and lies on both banks of the Hornád River.
