Jake Hobgood
Jake Hobgood (born July 24, 1975) is an American former professional stock car racing driver who competed in the NASCAR Goody's Dash Series from 1995 to 2003, where he won the championship in 2002, and won nine races and twelve poles. He is the older brother of Justin Hobgood, who has also competed in the series as well as the NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and the oldest son of Will Hobgood, who is a former champion of the Dash Series. Hobgood has previously competed in the X-1R Pro Cup Series, as well as the later incarnations of the Dash Series, such as the IPOWER Dash Series and the ISCARS Dash Series. Winnsboro is a town in Fairfield County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 3,550 at the 2010 census. The population was 3,215 at the 2020 census, a population decrease of approximately 9.5% for the same 10 year period. It is the county seat of Fairfield County. Ross Chastain is the defending winner of this race, having won it in 2024. History First ran in 2001, it was taken off the schedule after the 2004 season. In 2009, they announced after a six-year hiatus, Darlington would return to the Truck Series in August 2010. At the end of the year, they moved the race from August to mid-March for 2011. Pickup truck racing events in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series have been held at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, New Hampshire from 1996 to 2017 (except in 2012 and 2013), and again in 2025. Between 2014 and 2017, and again in 2025, it was held the day before the Cup Series' fall race at the track. The race was 200 laps in length from 1996 until 2010, when the distance was shortened to 175 laps.
