Jaka Bizilj
Jaka Bizilj (born 8 December 1971) is a German writer, promoter and film producer. He is the founder and chairman of the Cinema for Peace Foundation. Early life and education Bizilj was born in Ljubljana, then part of Slovenia, Yugoslavia. He grew up in Slovenia, Libya, Tanzania, Malaysia, and Germany. He studied politics, literature, and film at the German University of Mainz. He then became a journalist and political activist. Career Promoter and producer Since 1995, Bizilj has organized concerts with artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Bryan Adams, Montserrat Caballe, and Liza Minnelli, and toured with artists such as José Carreras. Since the late 1990s, he has worked internationally as a producer. Maung Thura "Zarganar" (also called Zaganar, ; also Zargana, ); born 27 January 1961) is a popular Burmese comedian, film actor, and director as well as a fierce critic and often political prisoner of the Burmese military government. Anna Stepanovna Politkovskaya (; 30 August 1958 – 7 October 2006) was a Russians, Russian investigative journalist who reported on political and social events in Russia, in particular, the Second Chechen War (1999–2005). It was her reporting from Chechnya that made her national and international reputation. For seven years, she refused to give up reporting on the war despite numerous acts of intimidation and violence.
