Jaja Santiago
, commonly known as Jaja Santiago, is a Philippine-born Japanese people, Japanese volleyball player who plays for JT Marvelous of Japan's V.League (Japan), V.League. Career College Santiago, then an incoming freshman student entering the National University (Philippines), National University (NU) in Manila, received an offer to try out for the University of California, Los Angeles, University of California-Los Angeles' women's volleyball team in 2013. She declined as she was hesitant to be away from her family back in the Philippines. She went on to play for the NU Lady Bulldogs volleyball, NU Lady Bulldogs volleyball team in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). 2016 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship
The 2016 FIVB Women's Club World Championship was the 10th edition of the event. It was held for the first time in the Philippines, on 18–23 October 2016 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. For the first time, eight teams competed, including four wild cards. The Philippine Super Liga and Eventcourt was in charge of organizing the tournament, together with the Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. (LVPI), the national federation for volleyball. Turkey's Eczacıbaşı VitrA defeated Italy's Pomì Casalmaggiore in the final to become the first team in history to claim the title a second time after their 2015 success. It competed as a club team in international club tournaments outside the Philippines such as the AVC Club Volleyball Championship and the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship. 2015 PSL Grand Prix Conference
The 2015 PSL Grand Prix was the second indoor conference of the Philippine Super Liga for its third season. The conference began on October 10, 2015, at the Alonte Sports Arena, in Biñan, Laguna. UAAP Season 79 Volleyball Tournaments
The UAAP Season 79 volleyball tournaments started on February 4, 2017 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, with the opening games of the men and women's senior volleyball tourneys, participated by 8 regular UAAP members. Aside from the Smart Araneta Coliseum, the games will also be held at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan City and the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay. The tournament host is the University of Santo Tomas, the season's host school. Rustico "Otie" Camangian will serve as the commissioner of the tournament. UST Golden Tigresses
The UST Golden Tigresses are the women’s collegiate varsity volleyball team of the UST Growling Tigers, representing the University of Santo Tomas in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). Their head coach as of April 17, 2015 is former Golden Spiker Kungfu Reyes. They are one of the UAAP’s winningest teams with 16 championships, the last coming in 2010 against the De La Salle Lady Spikers. The Tigresses swept their elimination games in 1988, 1993 and 1996 and were declared automatic champions in each of those years.
