Jaipal Singh Stadium
Jaipal Singh Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in the city of Ranchi in Jharkhand, India. It was built in 1978 and was named after the famous hockey player and captain Jaipal Singh Munda after a request was made by Birsa Seva Dal. After it was built, the infrastructure was neglected until 2013 when the Government of Jharkhand and Ranchi Municipal Corporation made plans to revamp it into a sports complex with aid from the central government. In 2008, a proposal came from the urban development minister, Raghubar Das, to make the stadium's site into a shopping complex but the plan was opposed by residents and sports lovers as well as councillors. Sport lovers and residents created "Jaipal Singh Stadium Bachao Sangharsh Samiti" to save the stadium. JSCA International Stadium Complex
JSCA International Stadium Complex formally known as (Jharkhand State Cricket Association International Cricket Stadium), and also known as Jharkhand State Cricket Association Stadium, is an international cricket stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand. It is the home ground of the Jharkhand cricket team. This stadium has organised 2 matches of IPL so far . It was inaugurated in January 2013. Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium
Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium or Ranchi Hockey Stadium is a field hockey stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand. It serves as the home ground for Hockey India League franchise Ranchi Rays. It is located in Morabadi near Ranchi and has a capacity of approximately 5000. This was also the home ground of Hockey India League team Ranchi Rhinos. Initially built in 1990 then subsequently renovated. It is believed to be the newest and best stadium in India. It was inaugurated by then Governor of Jharkhand K Sankaranarayanan as a prelude to the 34th National Games scheduled to be organized in Jharkhand from 21 November 2009. Ranchi
Ranchi (, ) is the capital of the Indian state of Jharkhand. Ranchi was the centre of the Jharkhand movement, which called for a separate state for the tribal regions of South Bihar, northern Odisha, western West Bengal and the eastern area of what is present-day Chhattisgarh. The Jharkhand state was formed on 15 November 2000 by carving out the Bihar divisions of Chota Nagpur and Santhal Parganas.
