Jaimie D. McEvoy (born August 14, 1965) is an author, historian, politician, and community activist in New Westminster, British Columbia British Columbia (commonly abbreviated as BC) is the westernmost Provinces and territories of Canada, province of Canada, situated between the Pacific Ocean and the Rocky Mountains. New Westminster (colloquially known as New West) is a city in the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia, Canada, and a member municipality of the Metro Vancouver Regional District. It was founded by Major-General Richard Moody as the capital of the Colony of British Columbia (1858–1866), Colony of British Columbia in 1858 and continued in that role until the Mainland and Island colonies were Colony of British Columbia (1866–1871), merged in 1866.
