Jaida Ross
Jaida Ross ( ; born October 29, 2001) is an American track and field athlete who competes in shot put and discus throw. She represented the United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, where she placed fourth in women's shot put, and was the 2024 NCAA Division I champion in the event. Ross was the first collegiate woman to break in shot put. Early life and education Ross was born on October 29, 2001, in Medford, Oregon, to mother Amanda Krug, a mental health professional. She has a twin sister named Jazzlyn. Ross graduated from North Medford High School in 2020, where she was one of the top throwers in the country. She attended the University of Oregon, earning a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2024 and a master's degree in prevention science in 2025, while also competing in shot put and discus for the Oregon Ducks. Medford is a city in and the county seat of Jackson County, Oregon, in the United States. The 2024 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships was the 59th NCAA Division I Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships and the 42nd NCAA Division I Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships, held at The TRACK at New Balance in Boston, Massachusetts. The field consisted of 17 different men's and women's indoor track and field events with a total of 650 participants contested from March 8 to March 9, 2024. Adelaide Aquilla ( ; born March 3, 1999) is an American track and field athlete who competes in shot put. She represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Early life and education Aquilla was born in Westlake, Ohio, to Tracy and Jared Aquilla. She grew up in Rocky River, Ohio, and has two younger brothers, Jonas and Ambrose. Aquilla graduated from Magnificat High School in 2017. She then attended Ohio State University, where she double majored in communications and hospitality management and was a walk-on for the Buckeyes track team. Jalani Davis (born 23 May 2001) is an American track and field athlete who competes in the shot put, hammer throw and weight throw. Early life and education Davis grew up in Hampton, Virginia. She is a graduate of Bethel High School and competed for the University of Mississippi. Career Davis finished first in the women's weight throw final at the 2023 NCAA Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Oregon Ducks track and field program is the intercollegiate track and field team for the University of Oregon located in the U.S. state of Oregon. The team competes at the Division I (NCAA), NCAA Division I level and is a member of the Big Ten Conference.
