Jahiren Noriega
Jahiren Elizabeth Noriega Donoso (born 1997) is an Ecuadorian politician and sociologist. She was elected to the National Assembly in 2022 and re-elected in 2023 as a member of the Citizen Revolution Movement. As of 2023, she is Ecuador's youngest legislator. Education Noriega completed her secondary education at the Sebastián de Benalcazar Municipal School, where in November 2014 she was elected president of the student council. However, the campus authorities tried to prevent her from taking office because there had been no election regulations. Noriega filed a protection action against the school, which was ruled in her favor. Her case was supported by education minister Augusto Espinosa. Noriega was finally sworn in on February 3, 2015, and the Ministry of Education sanctioned the school's principal for her actions in the dispute. Citizen Revolution Movement
The Citizen Revolution Movement ( es, Movimiento Revolución Ciudadana) is a Democratic socialism, democratic socialist political party in Ecuador formed by supporters of former President Rafael Correa who distanced themselves from Correa's former PAIS Alliance party during the presidency of Lenín Moreno. The party takes its name from The Citizens' Revolution, the term used to refer to the project of building a new society. History The party has its origins in early January 2018, as former Ecuadorian President and PAIS leader Rafael Correa left the ruling party over disagreement with the new direction of the party under Lenín Moreno. Ana Maria Raffo Guevara is an Ecuadorian politician who represents the Guayas Province at the National Assembly. She is a member of the Democratic Center. Life In 2008 she was working as a government manager for the Republic's President. By 2014 she had been promoted to be one of his advisors. She left that employment in 2017 when she became an advisor to the National Assembly. She joined the Democratic Center party and at the 2021 election she was elected to represent the Guayas Province at the National Assembly. Her substitute was Barahona Kelber Bermudez. She sits on the "Permanent Commission on Education, Culture, Science, Technology, Innovation and Ancestral Knowledge".
