Jahan Loh
Jahan Loh (Chinese: 羅傑瀚; born 1976) is a contemporary artist based in Singapore. Personal life Jahan Loh grew up in Singapore and is of Chinese Hakka descent. He attended St. Joseph's Institution, Singapore. At 17, he forayed into street art. From 1997 to 2000, Loh attended LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore where he studied fine art under a scholarship from Singapore Press Holdings. He furthered his studies, majoring in design and obtained his master's degree from the University of New South Wales in 2002. Career In 2002 upon graduating, Loh made his debut into pop art with his first solo show "CHERRY POP", following which, he returned to serve his scholarship bond within the Singapore Press Holdings division of The Straits Times where he worked as an artist, creating cartoons and info graphics for the national paper. 798 Art Zone (), or Dashanzi Art District, is a complex of 50-year-old decommissioned military factory buildings boasting a unique architectural style that houses a thriving artistic community in Dashanzi, Chaoyang District, Beijing. The area is often called the 798 Art District or Factory 798 although technically, Factory #798 is only one of several structures inside the complex formerly known as 718 Joint Factory. The buildings are within alleys number 2 and 4 on Jiǔxiānqiáo Lù (酒仙桥路), south of the Dàshānziqiáo flyover (大山子桥). The area is anchored by the UCCA Center for Contemporary Art, the largest and most visited venue in the area. Steve Caballero
Steve Caballero (born November 8, 1964) is an American professional skateboarder. He is known for the difficult tricks and air variations he invented for vertical skating and for setting the long-standing record for the highest air achieved on a halfpipe. In 1999, ''Thrasher Magazine'' named Caballero the "Skater of the Century". Career Caballero was born with scoliosis, a condition which causes a curvature of the spine, although he has stated that the condition "really hasn't affected me too much." He began skating in 1976 at the age of 12 and started his career at age 14. His first sponsor was Campbell Skate Park. In 1979, Caballero entered a national skate contest in Escondido. SAM at 8Q is the annexe of Singapore Art Museum - Singapore's contemporary art museum. Located at the heart of the city, it derives its name from the museum's location at No. 8 Queen Street near Bras Basah Road. SAM at 8Q is also approximately 88 steps away from Singapore Art Museum.
