Jaguar R1
The Jaguar R1 (originally known as the Stewart SF4) is the car with which the Jaguar Racing Formula One team competed in the 2000 Formula One season, and the first Jaguar-badged car after Ford's purchase of the Stewart team the previous year. Overview The car proved largely disappointing, despite flashes of promise, especially in the hands of Eddie Irvine, who was regularly able to qualify the car in the top ten. The car's race pace was often poor and it suffered from an unreliable gearbox. Irvine, the championship runner-up, could only score 4 points, placing the team ninth overall in the Constructors' Championship. The R1 was the last F1 car that Johnny Herbert raced; the experienced Englishman retiring at the end of the season after a difficult campaign, his final race in Malaysia ended in a frightening accident caused by suspension failure from which he was lucky to escape with minor injuries. Havoline ( ) is a motor oil brand currently commercialized by Chevron Corporation, Chevron. The brand had been previously owned by Texaco (since 1931), until the company was acquired by Chevron in 2001. History First introduced in 1904, the Havoline motor oil brand was named by Havemeyer Oil Company of New York. In 1906 the Havoline Oil Company separated from the Havemeyer Oil Company. In May 1909, It was bought by the Indian Refining Company, and registered as an official product of the company but kept the logo. British Racing Green
British racing green, or BRG, is a colour similar to '' Brunswick green'', '' hunter green'', '' forest green'' or '' moss green'' ( RAL 6005). It takes its name from the green international motor racing colour of the United Kingdom. This originated with the 1903 Gordon Bennett Cup, held in Ireland (then still part of the UK), as motor-racing on public roads was illegal in Great Britain. As a mark of respect, the British cars were painted shamrock green. There is no exact hue for BRG – currently the term is used to denote a spectrum of deep, rich greens. The 2000 Spanish Grand Prix (formally the XLII Gran Premio Marlboro de España) was a Formula One motor race held on 7 May 2000 at the Circuit de Catalunya, in Montmeló, Catalonia, Spain with approximately 79,000 spectators. It was the fifth round of the 2000 Formula One World Championship and the 42nd Spanish Grand Prix. Mika Häkkinen of McLaren won the 65-lap race after starting second. His teammate David Coulthard finished second, with Ferrari's Rubens Barrichello third. Timothy Richard "Tiff" Needell (born 29 October 1951) is a British racing driver and television presenter. He is a presenter of '' Lovecars'', and formerly served as co-presenter of '' Top Gear'' and '' Fifth Gear''. Biography Needell attended Ottershaw School followed by City University, London where he achieved an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering. Stewart Grand Prix was a Formula One constructor and racing team founded by triple Formula One champion Jackie Stewart and his son Paul Stewart (racing driver), Paul Stewart in 1996. The 2000 FIA Formula One World Championship was the 54th season of FIA Formula One motor racing. It commenced on 12 March and ended on 22 October after seventeen races. Michael Schumacher became Ferrari's first World Drivers' Champion in 21 years, having clinched the Drivers' title at the penultimate race of the season.
