Jagdstaffel 22
Royal Saxon Jagdstaffel 22 was a "hunting group" (i.e., fighter squadron) of the ''Luftstreitkräfte'', the air arm of the Imperial German Army during World War I. As one of the original German fighter squadrons, the unit would score 57 verified aerial victories. Their eleven wins over enemy observation balloons made them a balloon buster squadron. In turn, their casualties for the war would amount to five pilots killed in action, four killed in midair crashes, one killed in another flying accident, two wounded in action, and two taken prisoner of war. History Royal Saxon Jagdstaffel 22 was authorized on 25 October 1916; it formed on 16 November 1916. Its genesis was in the '' 7 Armee'' area, and its original personnel came from two field flier detachments, FF(A) 11 and FF(A) 29, and an artillery cooperation unit, FA(A) 222. Vaux was an American six-piece alternative rock band from Denver, Colorado, United States. History Vaux was formed in 1997 in Denver, Colorado, under the original name Eiffel. They released a 7" single themselves, ''To Write A Symphony'', in 1998. Karl Bohnenkamp
Vizefeldwebel Karl Bohnenkamp was a World War I flying ace credited with 15 aerial victories. He scored his first victory on 21 September 1917 and continued through 28 October 1918. His 15 victories made him the leading ace in his squadron. He was awarded the Military Merit Cross on the latter date. Military career Before Bohnenkamp qualified as a pilot, he was a radio operator for ''Feldflieger Abteilung'' (Field Flier Detachment) 39 from May 1915 to August 1916. After undergoing pilot's training, he was assigned to ''Feldflieger Abteilung'' 208 in February 1917. On 25 July 1917, he was "promoted" to flying fighter aircraft for Royal Saxon ''Jagdstaffel 22''. Soissons () is a commune in the northern French department of Aisne, in the region of Hauts-de-France.
