Jaemyn Brakefield
Jaemyn Mikal Brakefield (born December 19, 2000) is an American college basketball player for the Ole Miss Rebels of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). He previously played for the Duke Blue Devils. High school career Brakefield played at Huntington Prep School in Huntington, West Virginia for four years. Recruiting On October 4, 2019, Brakefield committed to play at Duke University. Brakefield was rated as a consensus four-star recruit and ranked No. 31 overall recruit and No. 4 overall power forward in the 2020 high school class. College career Brakefield played for the Duke Blue Devils during the 2020–21 season. He averaged a disappointing 3.5 points, and 2.5 rebounds per game while shooting 40.8 percent from the floor. After the season he announced his decision to enter the transfer portal. On April 21, 2021, Brakefield decided to transfer to Ole Miss. Ole Miss Rebels Men's Basketball
The Ole Miss Rebels men's basketball team represents the University of Mississippi in the sport of basketball. The Rebels compete in the NCAA Division I and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They started the 2015–16 season playing home games at Tad Smith Coliseum on the university's Oxford campus, but played their final game in that facility on December 22, 2015. The Rebels opened a new on-campus arena, The Pavilion at Ole Miss, on January 7, 2016. The Rebels were led by 12-year head coach Andy Kennedy until his resignation on February 18, 2018. Tony Madlock, an assistant under Kennedy, served as the interim head coach for the remainder of the 2017–18 season. On March 15, 2018, the school hired former Middle Tennessee head coach Kermit Davis as the new head coach and was formally introduced on March 19. The Ole Miss Rebels are the 18 men's and women's College sports in the United States, intercollegiate athletic teams that are funded by and represent the University of Mississippi, located in Oxford, Mississippi, Oxford. The first was the Ole Miss Rebels football, football team, which began play in 1893. Originally known as the "Mississippi Flood", the teams were renamed the Rebels in 1936. They compete in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)'s NCAA Division I, Division I, except for the NCAA Rifle Championship, rifle team, which participates in the Patriot Rifle Conference because the SEC does not sponsor that sport.
