Jaecoo
Jaecoo is a marque of Chinese vehicle manufacturer Chery that debuted in 2023. The marque was established to market SUVs to export markets such as Europe, Russia, Malaysia, Middle East, South Africa and Chile with sales starting in early 2024 in several markets. The marque was launched in April 2023 in Wuhu, Anhui, China, alongside the Omoda marque. The two brands (referred to as "O&J" brands) are only marketed outside China to support its export strategy. Both brands were targeted to reach annual global sales of 1,400,000 units by 2030 (excluding China). In the same month, Chery established a separate company in China called Anhui Omoda Jaecoo Automobile Co., Ltd. as a sales company. The name is based on the German word ''Jäger'' (meaning 'hunter') and the English word 'cool'. The Chery Tansuo 06 () is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV produced by Chery since 2023. It is marketed under the Jaecoo brand as the Jaecoo J7 in export markets. Omoda
Omoda is a marque of Chinese vehicle manufacturer Chery that debuted in 2022. The marque was first introduced in Russia and Kazakhstan in October 2022, with the Omoda C5 as its first model. The vehicle is a rebadged model of the eponymous Chery Omoda 5 crossover. According to Chery, the letter "O" from Omoda is derived from the word " oxygen", while "Moda" means "modern". Chery president Zhang Guibing mentioned that Omoda will serve customers who are part of the "Fashion Elite", a group of fashion-oriented customers that are "dynamic, avantgarde, and fashion-centric".
