Jade (Sweetbox Album)
''Jade'' is the third album of Sweetbox and the second with Jade Villalon as a frontwoman. It was released in 2002 in Japan and Europe, 2003 in Taiwan, and 2004 in Korea. Although similar to ''Classified,'' the album saw new influences emerging, and showcased a number of tracks, such as "Lighter Shade of Blue", that had not sampled famous classical pieces. A year later, a Silver edition was released with acoustic versions of some of the songs, including remixes and the re-vamped, re-done version of "Lighter Shade of Blue" that was featured on the "Here on My Own" music video, and a bonus DVD with three music videos. Sweetbox
Sweetbox is a German-based pop music project formed in 1995 by executive producer Heiko Schmidt and music producer Roberto "Geo" Rosan. Throughout the years Sweetbox has had several lead singers including Kimberly Kearney, Dacia Bridges, Tina Harris, Jade Villalon, Jamie Pineda, Miho Fukuhara, LogiQ Pryce, and Saint Viv. Although the project released four singles in the mid-1990s, with initial singers Kimberley Kearney and Dacia Bridges, worldwide success came with third vocalist, Tina Harris. "Everything's Gonna Be Alright (Sweetbox song), Everything's Gonna Be Alright" was released in 1997, which topped charts around the world and started a musical theme, sampling classical music, which the project would later become known for. ''Boléro'' is a 1928 work for large orchestra by French composer Maurice Ravel. It is one of Ravel's most famous compositions. It was also one of his last completed works before illness diminished his ability to write music. Composition The work's creation was set in motion by a commission from the dancer Ida Rubinstein, who asked Ravel for an orchestral transcription of six pieces from Isaac Albéniz's set of piano pieces, ''Iberia (Albéniz), Iberia''. While working on the transcription, Ravel was informed that Spanish conductor Enrique Fernández Arbós had already orchestrated the movements, and that copyright law prevented any other arrangement from being made. Pietro Mascagni
Pietro Mascagni (7 December 1863 – 2 August 1945) was an Italian composer primarily known for his operas. His 1890 masterpiece '' Cavalleria rusticana'' caused one of the greatest sensations in opera history and single-handedly ushered in the '' Verismo'' movement in Italian dramatic music. While it was often held that Mascagni, like Ruggero Leoncavallo, was a "one-opera man" who could never repeat his first success, '' L'amico Fritz'' and '' Iris'' have remained in the repertoire in Europe (especially Italy) since their premieres. The Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor, marked ''Quasi una fantasia'', Op. 27, No. 2, is a piano sonata by Ludwig van Beethoven, completed in 1801 and dedicated in 1802 to his pupil Countess Julie "Giulietta" Guicciardi. Although known throughout the world as the ''Moonlight Sonata'' (German: ''Mondscheinsonate''), it was not Beethoven who named it so. The Pavane in F-sharp minor, Op. 50, is a short work by the French composer Gabriel Fauré written in 1887. Francis Rodney Zambon (November 29, 1940 – June 8, 2024), known professionally as Mark James, was an American songwriter. He wrote hits for B.J. Thomas, Brenda Lee and Elvis Presley, including " Hooked on a Feeling", "Always on My Mind", and Presley's hit single " Suspicious Minds".
