Jadakiss
Jason Terrance Phillips (born May 27, 1975), better known by his stage name Jadakiss (, ), is an American rapper who began his career in the 1990s and formed the hip hop trio the Lox alongside Styles P and Sheek Louch in 1994. The group signed with Sean Combs, Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Records, an imprint of Arista Records to release their debut studio album, ''Money, Power & Respect'' (1998); their second album, ''We Are the Streets'' (2000) was released by Ruff Ryders Entertainment, an imprint of Interscope Records. Both peaked within the top five of the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200 and yielded critical praise; their two subsequent albums, ''Filthy America... ''Friday on Elm Street'' (originally titled ''Freddy vs. Jason'') is a collaborative studio album by American rappers Fabolous and Jadakiss. It was released on November 24, 2017, by Street Family Records, Roc Nation, D-Block Records, Def Jam Recordings. The album is preceded by one single, "Stand Up" featuring Future. "Why" is a protest song by American rapper Jadakiss, released on July 13, 2004 by Def Jam Recordings as the second single released from his second solo album '' Kiss of Death'' (2004). It was produced by Havoc, features a guest appearance from Anthony Hamilton, and contains a sample of Gong's 1976 song "Mandrake" throughout. "Why" was a crossover hit in several countries. It remains Jadakiss' highest-charting song on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, where it peaked at number 11. The remix was produced by Elite and has an altered chorus by Hamilton, as well as appearances from Styles P, Common and Nas. Ruff Ryders Entertainment is an American hip hop record label and management company founded by siblings and record executives Joaquin "Waah", Darrin "Dee" and Chivon Dean in 1988. Styles (born November 28, 1974), better known by his stage name Styles P (also known Mononymous person, mononymously as Styles), is an American rapper, best known as a member of East Coast hip hop group the Lox.
