Jad Capelja
Jad Capelja (1964 – 10 January 2010) was an Australian actress best known for her role in the 1981 teen film ''Puberty Blues'', based on the novel of the same name. In ''Puberty Blues'' Capelja played Sue, best friend to the lead character Debbie played by Nell Schofield. The film was very successful in Australia, Schofield and Capelja became instant stars and were sent on a huge publicity tour around the country.Life After Puberty. ''Puberty Blues'' (1979) is a novel by the Australian writers Gabrielle Carey and Kathy Lette. It is their first published book. It has long been controversial with adults but much sought out by teenagers for its depictions of adolescent sex. A film based on the novel was released in 1981. A television series based on the novel began airing in 2012. Plot summary The novel is set in Sutherland Shire, in southern Sydney, New South Wales, Australia in the 1970s. Robert Scott Hicks (born 4 March 1953), known as Scott, is an Australian film director, producer and screenwriter. He is best known as the screenwriter and director of ''Shine'', the biopic of pianist David Helfgott. For this, Hicks was nominated for two Academy Awards.
