Jacques Verheyen
Jacobus Hubertus (Jacques) Verheyen (5 February 1911 – 20 August 1989) was a Dutch glazier and painter. Life and work Verheyen, also Verheijen,Pieter A. Scheen, Scheen, P.A. From 1928 he worked in Den Rooijen's studio. In 1935 he established himself as an independent artist in Echt, Netherlands, Echt. He was responsible for the design and glass painting, while the technical side of the work was carried out at various studios. Echt, Netherlands
Echt (; ) is a city in the Dutch municipality of Echt-Susteren in the province of Limburg, Netherlands. It was a municipality itself until it merged with the municipality of Susteren on 1 January 2003. The municipality of Echt had about 19,300 inhabitants and an area of about 75,13 square km. History First recorded in the 7th century, Echt was a village, then within the County of Loon. Between 928 and 939 Gerberga of Saxony gave the estate of "Ettha" and its church to the St Servatius community in Maastricht. Geleen
Geleen (; li, Gelaen ) is a city in the southern part of the province of Limburg in the Netherlands. With 31,670 inhabitants in 2020, it is part of the municipality of Sittard-Geleen. Geleen is situated along the river Geleenbeek, a right tributary to the river Meuse. The Latin name for Geleenbeek is ''Glana'', meaning "clear river". The town centre is situated at about 60 m above sea level. History Until the end of the 19th century, Geleen was a very small village. Its population was 2,545 in 1899. The remains of one of the oldest prehistoric farms in the Netherlands were found here.
