Jacques Raymond
Jacques Raymond (born Jozef Remon on 13 October 1938) is a Belgian singer. He represented Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 1963 with the Dutch song " Waarom?". In the 1971 Eurovision Song Contest, he teamed up with Lily Castel to sing " Goeiemorgen, Morgen" for the Belgian entry on short notice after Nicole Josy of Nicole & Hugo fell ill. Temse
Temse (; french: Tamise ) is a municipality in East Flanders, Belgium. The name Temse is derived from the Gallo-Roman/Gaul Tamisiacum or Tamasiacum. This is also reflected in the French name for the town, Tamise. The main sights include the Church of Our Lady, whose steeple was designed by the famous sculptor Adriaan Nijs, who died in Temse, and who also sculpted the wooden pulpit. Inside the church the relics of Amalberga of Temse are venerated. Close by stands the old "Gemeentehuis" (town hall), built in Flemish Eclectic style, housing a carillon in its main tower. The municipality, which lies on the left side of the River Scheldt, comprises the towns of , , Temse and . On 1 January 2018, Temse had a population of 29,528. Serge & Christine Ghisoland (both born in 1946) are a singing duo from Mouscron, Belgium, best known for their participation in the 1972 Eurovision Song Contest. Eurovision Song Contest In 1970, the then unknown married couple took part in the semi-finals of the Belgian Eurovision selection with two songs, "Lai lai lai" and "Nous serons toi et moi". Both qualified for the final, but the Ghisolands decided to withdraw "Nous serons toi et moi", leaving "Lai lai lai" to go forward, where it finished fourth. In 1972 the couple were chosen as the Belgian representatives and performed ten songs which were the subject of a public vote. The winner was "À la folie ou pas du tout" ("Madly, or Not At All"), which went forward to the 17th Eurovision Song Contest, held on 25 March in Edinburgh.
