Jacques Hanegraaf
Jacobus Johannes Henricus "Jacques" Hanegraaf (born 14 December 1960) is a retired road bicycle racer from the Netherlands, who was a professional rider from 1981 to 1994. He twice won the Dutch title in the men's road race (1981 and 1985). His other major wins include the 1984 Amstel Gold Race. Hanegraaf later became a cycling manager, first for and later for Team Bianchi and Unibet.com. He also competed in the individual road race and team time trial events at the 1980 Summer Olympics. Rijsbergen
Rijsbergen a town in the municipality of Zundert in the southern Netherlands. In the town used to be an AC (Aanmeldcentrum, i.e. Refugee, Asylum Request Center). Until 1997 Rijsbergen was an independent municipality, after which it was added to Zundert. The skyline of Rijsbergen is dominated by the Gothic Revival architecture, neo-Gothic Roman Catholic Church, Roman Catholic church of Bavo, Saint Bavo, which was built in 1918 as a replacement of a smaller fourteenth-century church. The church is situated in the town centre and is flanked by the former town hall, which has been transformed into a museum. Furthermore, in the outskirts of Rijsbergen a successful Garden Centre can be found named: "De Bosrand". A deeply loved place by the locals. The countryside around Rijsbergen is dotted with eleven shrines devoted to the Virgin Mary. They were built after the Second World War as a thanksgiving for surviving the war relatively undamaged. 1984 Tour De France
The 1984 Tour de France was the 71st edition of the Tour de France, run over in 23 stages and a prologue, from 29 June to 22 July. The race was dominated by the Renault team, who won the team classification and ten stages: Renault's French rider Laurent Fignon won his second consecutive Tour, beating former teammate Bernard Hinault by over 10 minutes. Hinault was pursuing his fifth Tour victory after having sat out the 1983 Tour because of injuries. Also that year, Fignon's team-mate Greg LeMond became the first American rider to finish in the top three and stand on the podium, and he also took the young rider classification. Jan Raas (born 8 November 1952) is a Dutch former professional cyclist whose 115 wins include the 1979 World Road Race Championship in Valkenburg, he also won the Tour of Flanders in 1979 and 1983, Paris–Roubaix in 1982 and Milan–San Remo in 1977. He won ten stages in the Tour de France. In six starts, Raas won the Amstel Gold Race five times. In his entire career he competed in 23 of the highly contested "Monument" Races and he finished on the podium in almost half of them: 1st place four times and 3rd place six times. Johan van der Velde (born 12 December 1956 in Rijsbergen) is a former Netherlands, Dutch cycle sport, cyclist.
