Jacque Aye
Jacque Aye is a Nigerian-American comic artist and writer. Her works are strongly inspired by Japanese anime and tend to have Black women protagonists. Early years Aye was born in Kansas and grew up in Dallas, where she spent time together with her older brother, with whom she first discovered anime by watching ''Sailor Moon'', which would go on to heavily influence her adult works. Career Aye founded the lifestyle brand ''Adorned by Chi'' in 2015. In 2018 she began publishing her webcomic, also titled ''Adorned By Chi''. It was inspired by works like ''Sailor Moon'' and the Igbo culture of Nigeria, just like the positive representation of Black people in animes like ''Tiger & Bunny'', ''Michiko to Hatchin'' and ''Afro Samurai'', and like other independent Western projects with a magical girl theme. Jacque Robinson
Jacque Robinson (born March 5, 1963) is an American former professional football player. He played as a running back and was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the eighth round of the 1985 NFL draft. During his college career at Washington, Robinson amassed 2,300 career yards, and also earned MVP honors in both the 1982 Rose Bowl and 1985 Orange Bowl. He was the first freshman to win Player of the Game honors at the Rose Bowl and was inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame in 2019. Robinson was also the first player in history to win both Rose Rowl and Orange Bowl MVP honors. He attended San Jose High School in San Jose, California. Robinson saw playing time in three NFL games in 1987 with the Philadelphia Eagles during the NFLPA strike. His NFL total is 114 yards on 24 carries, plus two receptions for nine yards. Olivier Jacque (born 29 August 1973 in Villerupt, France) is a French former professional Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. Career He was second in the 250cc European Championship in 1994, before moving on to the 250cc World Championship. He achieved a top ten finish in the points standings every year he competed. In 2000 he had a season-long battle for the championship with Tech3 teammate Shinya Nakano and Daijiro Kato, ultimately winning the 250cc Motorcycle World Champion on a Yamaha YZR250. For 2001, he moved up to the 500cc class with the Tech3 team. He spent three years with Tech3, before starting 2004 without a ride. He made one appearance on a Moriwaki bike, but again was without a ride as 2005 started. Charles-Émile Jacque (23 May 1813 – 7 May 1894) was a French painter of Pastoralism and engraver who was, with Jean-François Millet, part of the Barbizon School. He first learned to engrave maps when he spent seven years in the French Army. Biography Fleeing the Cholera epidemics that besieged Paris in the mid-nineteenth century, Charles Jacque relocated to Barbizon in 1849 with Millet. There, he painted rustic or pastoral subject matter: shepherds, flocks of sheep, pigs, and scenes of farm life. In addition to painting, Jacque was also famous for his etchings and engravings. He, along with Félix Bracquemond and Felix Buhot, is credited with the nineteenth-century revival of seventeenth-century techniques. Jacque Trevan Vaughn (born February 11, 1975) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is an assistant coach for the Kansas Jayhawks of the Big 12 Conference. Vaughn played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Utah Jazz, Atlanta Hawks, Orlando Magic, New Jersey Nets, and San Antonio Spurs from 1997 to 2009. She was the First Lady of Idaho while her husband Phil Batt was Governor of Idaho from January 2, 1995, to January 4, 1999. She was instrumental in founding the Pink Tea in 1998, an organization that raised money for free mammograms for women in need. Jacquelyn Joy Mercer (January 7, 1931 – February 2, 1982) was Miss America in 1949. Biography Mercer was born in Thatcher, Arizona. A granddaughter of the pioneer Linville family who first settled in Arizona in the late 1880s, she won the title of Miss America in 1949. She is mentioned (usually by title, once by name) several times in the 1997 Philip Roth novel, '' American Pastoral''.
