Jacob Wiley
Jacob Wiley (born September 4, 1994) is an American-born naturalized Macedonian professional basketball player for Shiga Lakes of the Japanese B.League. College career Wiley played college basketball for the Montana Grizzlies, Lewis–Clark State Warriors, and Eastern Washington Eagles. He primarily plays the forward position. During his first and only year at Montana, he averaged a very discouraging 1.0 point and 3.0 minutes per game with Montana, including tying a team-high 5 points in a blowout 81–34 2013 NCAA tournament loss to Syracuse. He also participated in their track team after their NCAA Tournament season was over with before leaving Montana after his first basketball practice as a sophomore, to the point where he stopped playing the sport altogether from October 2013 to March 2014. 2017 NBA Summer League
The 2017 NBA Summer League consisted of three pro basketball leagues organized by the National Basketball Association (NBA): the Orlando Pro Summer League, Utah Jazz Summer League, and Las Vegas Summer League. Eight teams participated in the week-long Orlando Pro Summer League at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, from July 1 to 6, 2017. Each team played five games over the course of the week, with a championship day being played on the final day of the league. In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. 2016–17 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Season
The 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 11, 2016. The first tournament was the 2K Sports Classic, and ended with the Final Four in Glendale, Arizona on April 3, 2017. Practices officially began on September 30, 2016. Rule changes The only rule change for the regular season was allowing coaches to ask for timeouts in situations of inbounds on offense or defense. Coaches are still not permitted to call timeouts in live-ball situations. Big Sky Conference Men's Basketball Player Of The Year
The Big Sky Conference Player of the Year Award, officially known as the Big Sky Conference Most Valuable Player Award, is an annual basketball award given to the Big Sky Conference's most outstanding player. The award was first given following the 1978–79 season. Only one player, Larry Krystkowiak of Montana, has won the award three times (1984–86). Three others have been two-time winners: Orlando Lightfoot of Idaho (1993, 1994) and Harold Arceneaux (1999, 2000) and Damian Lillard (2010, 2012) of Weber State. Weber State has the most all-time awards (11) and individual winners (9). Montana is second in total awards with seven; Eastern Washington is second in individual winners with six.
