Jacob Buksti
Jacob Anthonius Buksti (7 April 1947 – 27 September 2016) was a Danish politician, academic and member of the Social Democrats. Buksti served as a member of the Folketing, or national Danish Parliament, from 1994 until 2005. From 2000 to 2001, he also served in the Poul Nyrup Rasmussen IV Cabinet as Minister of Transport. Additionally, Buksti was the spokesperson for the Social Democratic Party of Denmark from 1998 to 2000. Buksti was educated at the Aarhus University and became a member of the Social Democrats Social democracy is a political, social, and economic philosophy within socialism that supports political and economic democracy. Poul Oluf Nyrup Rasmussen (, informally Poul Nyrup, born 15 June 1943) is a retired Danish politician. Rasmussen was Prime Minister of Denmark from 25 January 1993 to 27 November 2001 and President of the Party of European Socialists (PES) from 2004 to 2011. He was the leader of the governing Social Democrats from 1992 to 2002. He was a member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2009. Rasmussen is a member of the Club of Madrid. The Folketing ( da, Folketinget, ; ), also known as the Parliament of Denmark or the Danish Parliament in English, is the unicameral national legislature (parliament) of the Kingdom of Denmark—Denmark proper together with the Faroe Islands and Greenland. The Social Democrats ( da, Socialdemokraterne, ) is a social democratic political party in Denmark. After the 1998 Danish parliamentary election, the sitting Danish Prime Minister Poul Nyrup Rasmussen was able to reform the government coalition of his own Social Democrats and the Danish Social Liberal Party. The resulting cabinet, which replaced the Cabinet of Poul Nyrup Rasmussen III, was formed on 23 March 1998 and was called the Cabinet of Poul Nyrup Rasmussen IV. TV 2 News
TV 2 News (former working title: TV 2 Nyhedskanalen) is a Danish language television news channel which started broadcasting on 1 December 2006. It's one of the first 24-hour news channels in the Danish language ( 24Nordjyske is also a 24-hour news channel but is only shown in Nordjylland). There are editorial offices at the TV 2 headquarters at Kvægtorvet in Odense, and in Copenhagen. On 31 March 2008 TV 2 News started broadcasting in the 16:9 widescreen format with an entirely new set of graphics. Programming The channel uses a 30-minute newswheel, with focus on different subjects throughout the day, for example traffic reports from the Danish Road Directorate, business news (17 Finans is a daily business programme updating viewers on latest in business) and sport (especially in the weekends).
