John T. "Jackie" Moore (born September 24, 1932) is a retired American professional basketball player. A 6'5" small forward from La Salle University, Moore played three seasons (1954–1957) in the National Basketball Association as a member of the Syracuse Nationals, Milwaukee Hawks, and Philadelphia Warriors. Jackie Spencer Moore (born February 19, 1939) is an American former professional baseball catcher, coach and manager. He spent all or parts of 12 years over five separate terms as a Texas Rangers coach, and 32 years in all as a coach for eight different Major League Baseball (MLB) teams. Moore managed the Oakland Athletics (1984–86), and played part of one season with the Detroit Tigers as a third-string catcher in . Playing career After graduating from Bellaire High School in Houston, Texas, Moore joined the Tigers as an amateur free agent in when just eighteen years old. He started his minor-league career as an outfielder, with the Montgomery Rebels in 1957, but was converted to catcher in and remained behind the plate the rest of his playing career. He hit .264, with 43 home runs and 162 runs batted in, in the eight years in the Tigers' farm system before being called up to the parent club for the 1965 season only. Jackie Moore (1946 – November 8, 2019) was an American R&B singer. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, she is best known for her gold single 1970 song "Precious, Precious," which reached No. 30 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart on March 6, 1971. This disc sold over one million copies, and received a gold disc awarded by the R.I.A.A. in March 1971. Also noteworthy was her 1979 disco hit "This Time Baby," which hit No. 1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. The track reached No. 49 in the UK Singles Chart. The latter would later be sampled for the 2005 dance radio and club hit "Love on My Mind" by the Freemasons featuring Amanda Wilson. Monica Stucchi (born 28 May 1963), known by her stage name Valerie Dore, is an Italian singer. Career Monica Stucchi was born in Milan, Italy. Prior to her career in music, she worked as a graphic designer. In the early 1980s she fronted The Watermelon String Band, a bluegrass ensemble led by the banjoist Bruno Guaitamacchi that performed in the Milan clubs circuit. Stucchi was discovered at age 20 by the Italo producer Roberto Gasparini, who launched her solo career and gave her the stage name Valerie Dore to improve her international appeal. Dore's first single, "The Night" (1984) was arranged by Lino Nicolosi. Her follow-up singles, "Get Closer" and "It's So Easy", were released in 1984 and 1985, respectively. Novecento (group)
Novecento is an Italian band founded by Pino Nicolosi, Lino Nicolosi, Rossana Nicolosi, and Dora Nicolosi (née Carofiglio) in 1984. Their music has gone through a variety of genres, such as Italo disco (early work), synthpop, soft rock, pop rock, jazz, and funk. The band was active in the 1980s and the 1990s and became popular with the debut single, "Movin' On", which sold more than 100,000 copies in 1984. The band went on to win the "Revelation of the Year" award during the national television event ''Azzurro 1984''. They were signed to Italian Five Records and Baby Records, with international distribution via WEA, Warner Music, and ZTT. In 1990 they scored another hit with the eurodance song "I Need Love".
