Jacqueline Alway OBE, professionally known as Jackie Alway, is a British-born music publishing executive. In 2019, she was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.- Alway is the executive vice-president international legal and industry affairs of Universal Music Publishing Group. She is the Chair of the ICMP representing the interest of the music publishing community internationally, former chair and a current board member of the UK Music Publishers Association, a member of the board of PRS for Music, the MCPS, Print Music Licensing Limited, the International Music Publishers Association, a board director of MCPS Ireland, and a member of the Council of the Music Publishers Association of Ireland. The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service. Queen’s Birthday Honours
The Birthday Honours, in some Commonwealth realms, mark the reigning British monarch's official birthday by granting various individuals appointment into national or dynastic orders or the award of decorations and medals. The honours are presented by the monarch or a viceregal representative. The Birthday Honours are one of two annual honours lists, along with the New Year Honours. The Music Publishers Association of the United States (MPA) is a non-profit music publishing organization based in New York City. Founded in 1895, the MPA is the oldest music trade organization in the United States which addresses issues pertaining to print publishing with an emphasis on copyright education and advocacy.
