Jacki MacDonald
Jacki MacDonald (born Jenine MacDonald; 26 November 1953) is a former Australian television personality from Blackall, Queensland, who also has worked in radio broadcasting. Career Popular in her home state of Queensland, MacDonald appeared on a number of local programs in the 1970s including her own show, ''Jacki and all that Jazz'', on QTQ-9 and a daily breakfast program, ''The Jacki Mac Show'', on TVQ-0. In 1978 she was GTV-9's replacement for Daryl Somers and puppet sidekick Ossie Ostrich when the pair moved to 0-10. After she presented ''The Super Saturday Show'' for several months, Somers returned to Nine and she was asked to join them as co-presenter of a revival of ''Hey Hey It's Saturday'', a role which she would continue for nine years. MacDonald was frequently made the butt of jokes in the show and when she came on the tune "Folks Are Dumb Where I Come From" would often be played (a reference to MacDonald coming from Queensland). ''It's a Knockout!'' is a British game show first broadcast in 1966. It was adapted from the French show ''Intervilles'', and was part of the international ''Jeux sans frontières'' franchise. History The series was broadcast on BBC1 from 7 August 1966 to 30 July 1982; thereafter a number of specials were broadcast until 25 December 1988. An episode was made by Television South, TVS for ITV (TV network), ITV which aired on 28 May 1990 as part of its ITV Telethon that year with Bernie Clifton as the host. Welsh version A Welsh language, Welsh version, ' (''Games without Frontiers''), was broadcast from 3 August 1991 to 24 December 1994 on S4C. It originally ran from 17 April 1985 to 11 September 1987. It was later briefly revived albeit less successfully on 27 November 2011 on Network Ten and hosted by HG Nelson and Brad McEwan with Charli Robinson. Fiona MacDonald (television Presenter)
Fiona Frances MacDonald (27 May 1957 – 3 October 2024) was an Australian television presenter. Life and career MacDonald was raised on a cattle property in the outback town of Blackall, Queensland. She had two sisters, Kylie and Jacki MacDonald, the latter also a television presenter. MacDonald appeared on local television in Queensland before going on to national programs such as children's show ''Wombat'' and the local version of British game show ''It's a Knockout''. While hosting ''Wombat'', she was featured in the "A Day in the Life" series by ''The Australian Women's Weekly''. After leaving ''It's a Knockout'', MacDonald became a wine expert. Influenza, commonly known as the flu, is an infectious disease caused by influenza viruses.
