Wilson, Keppel And Betty
Wilson, Keppel and Betty formed a popular British music hall and vaudeville act in the middle decades of the 20th century. They capitalised on the fashion for Ancient Egyptian imagery following the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun. The "Sanding (dance), sand dance" that formed the highlight of their act was a parody of postures from Egyptian tomb paintings, combined with references to Arabs, Arabic costume. The lithe and extremely lanky Wilson and Keppel, who wore long moustaches and make-up to emphasise the sharp angularity of their features and make them appear almost identical, demonstrated their impressive suppleness in eccentric dance, adopting wild gestures and dancing in identical "stereo" movements, while Betty joined their antics. Jack Lawrence Wilson (August 27, 1936 – June 6, 1988), was an American college basketball player and two-time Florida state championship high school basketball coach. He played for the Anderson University (Indiana) "Ravens" from 1955 to 1958, setting a number of school records. As a high school basketball coach for 27 years, Wilson's teams achieved an overall record of 585–179, twice winning state championships. High school and college years Born in Omar, West Virginia, Wilson was a high school basketball star, averaging 25 points scored per game. He was the leading scorer in the Kentucky/West Virginia High School All-Star game and was also named All-State center. In college, he played for the Anderson University (Indiana) "Ravens" from 1955 to 1958 where he set six school records that still stand today – more than any other Raven basketball player. Jocky Wilson
John Thomas "Jocky" Wilson (22 March 1950 – 24 March 2012) was a Scottish professional darts player. After turning professional in 1979, he quickly rose to the top of the game, winning the World Professional Darts Championship in 1982, then again in 1989. Wilson competed in all major darts tournaments of the era and won the British Professional Championship a record four times between 1981 and 1988. A contemporary and rival of Eric Bristow, Bob Anderson and John Lowe, Wilson's ungainly appearance and rough-hewn lifestyle belied his prowess in the sport. He was dogged by health problems, however, and suddenly retired from the game in December 1995. West Freeway Church Of Christ Shooting
The West Freeway Church of Christ shooting took place on December 29, 2019, in White Settlement, Texas, in the United States. Two people in the congregation were killed before the gunman was fatally shot by 71-year-old Jack Wilson, a volunteer security team member. The attack was live-streamed, as are all services at the church. Video of the shooting appeared online in real time, and was captured, leading to multiple posts on Twitter, YouTube and Rumble with videos showing the shooting and aftermath. Biography and career Wilson graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree and then earned his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 2004. Jack Wilson (1905–1972) was an Australian engineer. The company he founded, Wilson Transformer Company, continues to manufacture electrical transformers in Australia. Early life Wilson was born on 16 May 1905 at Batley, Yorkshire in England. After school at Purlwell Council and Batley Grammar Schools, he was apprenticed to Ward & Co, a local electrical and mechanical engineering firm. He went on to be a draftsman and designer with Yorkshire Electric Transformer Company. In 1929, Wilson emigrated to Victoria, Australia and joined the Australian branch of the British Electric Transformer Co. in South Melbourne. Four years later, he launched his own business in 1933. Wovoka
Wovoka ( – September 20, 1932), also known as Jack Wilson, was the Paiute religious leader who founded a second episode of the Ghost Dance movement. Wovoka means "cutter" or "wood cutter" in the Northern Paiute language. Biography Wovoka was born in the Smith Valley area southeast of Carson City, Nevada around 1856. Quoitze Ow was his birth name. Wovoka's father was Numu-tibo'o (sometimes called Tavibo), who for several decades was incorrectly believed to be Wodziwob, a religious leader who had founded the Ghost Dance of 1870. Jack Eugene Wilson (born December 29, 1977) is an American former professional baseball shortstop and current coach. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Seattle Mariners, and Atlanta Braves. He last served as an assistant coach at Grand Canyon University.
