Jacinto Ciria Cruz
Jacinto "Jumping Jack" Ciria Cruz (August 16, 1910 – December 25, 1944) was a Filipino basketball player and coach. Ciria Cruz played for the UST Growling Tigers, University of Santo Tomas men's basketball team. He was part of the team that won the gold medal in the 1930 and 1934 Far Eastern Games and also represented the Philippines at the 1936 Summer Olympics as a member of the country's national basketball team. He later ventured into coaching different collegiate squads. In 1938, Ciria Cruz took over as Letran basketball coach from Herminio Silva, who had earlier inherited the job from Ciria Cruz when the latter played in the Berlin Olympics. Bayombong
Bayombong, officially the Municipality of Bayombong (; ; ), is a municipality of the Philippines, municipality and capital of the Philippine Province, province of Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 67,714 people. Bayombong is the seat of the provincial capitol and the most populous town of Nueva Vizcaya. The name Bayombong emanated from the Gaddang language, Gaddang word “''Bayongyong''” which means the confluence of two or more rivers. It has been reported that a certain tribe arrived and tried to invade the place, which caused the outbreak of the first tribal war in the area. The site was renamed “Bayumbung” as a sign of the Gaddang people, Gaddangs' first victory in fighting for their private domains.
