Jacek Poniedziałek
Jacek Poniedziałek (born 6 August 1965, Kraków) is a Polish film, theatre and television actor as well as a theatre director and translator. Life and career He was born on 6 August 1965 in Kraków and grew up in the city's Olsza II District. In 1990, he graduated from the National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków. He received his diploma on the basis of his performance in the role of Walter in Robert Musil's ''Early Drafts for The Man Without Qualities'' directed by Krystian Lupa. During his studies in Kraków, he began his long collaboration with theatre director Krzysztof Warlikowski. He was hired by the German director Karin Beier for his staging of Shakespeare's ''A Midsummer Night's Dream'' in a theatre in Düsseldorf. He performed at such institutions as the KTO Theatre in Kraków, the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre (1990-1992) and the Old Theatre (1992-1997). Kraków

Jan Kochanowski
Jan Kochanowski (; 1530 – 22 August 1584) was a Polish Renaissance poet who established poetic patterns that would become integral to the Polish literary language. He is commonly regarded as the greatest Polish poet before Adam Mickiewicz. Life Jan Kochanowski was born at Sycyna, near Radom, Poland. He was the older brother of Andrzej Kochanowski, who would also become a poet and translator. Little is known of Jan's early education. Hanoch Levin
Hanoch Levin ( he, חנוך לוין; December 18, 1943 – August 18, 1999) was an Israeli dramatist, theater director, author and poet, best known for his plays. His absurdist style is often compared to the work of Harold Pinter and Samuel Beckett. Biography Levin was born in 1943 to Malka and Israel Levin, who immigrated to then- British Mandate of Palestine in 1935 (now Israel) from Łódź, Poland. He grew up in a religious Jewish home in the Neve Sha'anan neighborhood in southern Tel Aviv. His father ran a grocery store. As a child, he attended the Yavetz State Religious School. Cleansed
''Cleansed'' is the third play by the English playwright Sarah Kane. It was first performed in 1998 at the Royal Court Theatre Downstairs in London. The play is set in a university which (according to the blurb of the published script) is operating as "an institution designed to rid society of its undesirables" where "a group of inmates try to save themselves through love" while under the rule of the Sadomasochism, sadistic Tinker. When the play premiered at the Royal Court in April 1998, Kane played the part of Grace for the last three performances because of an injury that the original actress suffered. It is sometimes claimed that Tinker was named after the theatre critic for British newspaper ''The Daily Mail'', Jack Tinker, whose review of Kane's first play ''Blasted'' was headlined "this disgusting feast of filth", but there does not appear to be any evidence of Kane confirming this. Sarah Kane
Sarah Kane (3 February 1971 – 20 February 1999) was an English playwright, screenwriter and theatre director. She is known for her plays that deal with themes of redemptive love, sexual desire, pain, torture—both physical and psychological—and death. They are characterised by a poetic intensity, pared-down language, exploration of theatrical form and, in her earlier work, the use of extreme and violent stage action. Kane herself and scholars of her work, such as Graham Saunders, have identified some of her inspirations as expressionist theatre and Jacobean tragedy. Krzysztof Pius Zanussi (born 17 June 1939) is a Polish film and theatre director, producer and screenwriter. He is a professor of European film at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland where he conducts a summer workshop. He is also a professor at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School of the University of Silesia in Katowice. Grzegorz Królikiewicz
Grzegorz Królikiewicz (5 June 1939 – 21 September 2017) was a Polish film director, screenwriter, and pedagogue. Life and career In 1962, he graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Łódź. In 1967, he began his studies at the National Film School in Łódź from which he graduated in 1970. He directed a number of documentary films, TV shows as well as feature films. In 1976–78, he directed the television Editorial Office of Facts. Between 1981–1983, he served as the artistic director of the Aneks Film Studio (''Zespół Filmowy Aneks''). In the years 2003–2005, he worked as director of the New Theatre in Łódź. Jerzy Julian Hoffman (; born 15 March 1932) is a Polish director, screenwriter, and producer. He received the Polish Academy Life Achievement Award in February 2006. Hoffman is best known for his works in ''The Deluge'' (1974) and ''With Fire and Sword'' (1999), the former of which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Borys Lankosz (born 31 March 1973, Kraków) is a Polish film director. He graduated from the National Film School in Łódź. His debut film "Evolution" (2001) received several awards, i.a. the Golden Gate Award at the San Francisco International Film Festival.
