Jacek Krzyżaniak (born 18 October 1968 in Toruń, Poland) is a former international motorcycle speedway rider from Poland, who was a member of Poland national team. Career In a career spanning twenty years from 1988 to 2008, he rode for Apator Toruń, WTS Wrocław, Polonia Bydgoszcz and GTŻ Grudziądz Krzyżaniak won silver medals at 1997 Speedway World Team Cup and 2001 Speedway World Cup. He won Individual Polish Champion title in 1997 and Team Polish Champion title in 1990. 1998 Speedway Grand Prix
The 1998 Speedway Grand Prix was the 53rd edition of the official World Championship. It was the fourth season in the Speedway Grand Prix era used to determine the Speedway World Champion. Tony Rickardsson won the World title, which included three wins from the six Grand Prix events. The Swede's win was his second World title success and he secured the gold medal comfortably ahead of nearest rivals Jimmy Nilsen and Tomasz Gollob. Event format The system used was a new one for the 4th SGP season with 24 riders, divided into two classes. The eight best would be directly qualified for the "Main Event", while the sixteen others would be knocked out if they finished out of the top two in 4-man heats on two occasions - while they would go through if they finished inside the top two on two occasions. Holsted
Holsted is a railway town in Vejen Municipality, Region of Southern Denmark in Denmark. It is situated at the stream of Holsted Å, 8 km west of Brørup. Individual Speedway European Championship
The Individual Speedway European Championship is an annual individual speedway event organized by the European Motorcycle Union (UEM) to determine the champion of Europe. The competition was founded in 2001 and was initially staged as a one-off meeting before the single event was replaced by the Speedway European Championship series in 2012. History From 1955 to 1975, the European Final was staged as the final qualifying round for the World Speedway Championship, although this did not include British riders who had a separate qualifying round.
