Aleksander Jabłoński
Aleksander Jabłoński (born 26 February 1898 in Woskresenówka, in Imperial Russia; died 9 September 1980 in Skierniewice, Poland) was a Polish physicist and member of the Polish Academy of Sciences. His research was in molecular spectroscopy and photophysics. Life and career He was born on 26 February 1898 in Woskresenówka near Kharkiv in Imperial Russia. He attended ''Gymnasium'' high school in Kharkiv as well as a music school where he learned to play the violin under supervision of Konstanty Gorski. In 1916, he started to study physics at the University of Kharkiv. During the World War I he served in the Polish I Corps in Russia. After the war he settled in Warsaw in 1918. In 1919–1920 he fought for Poland against aggression by Soviet Russia (and was consequently decorated with the Polish Cross of Valour). Edward Jabłoński
Edward Leon Jabłoński (13 October 1919 – 17 November 1970) was a Polish professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He played for Cracovia and the Poland national team. Biography Born on 13 October 1919 in Kraków, Jabłoński was one of the few players who participated in games of the national team both before and after World War II. He died on 17 November 1970, also in Kraków. Jabłoński played as a right midfield for Cracovia in the seasons 1938–39 and, after the war, in 1948–1950. In 1948, when Cracovia became the champion of Poland, he was the captain of the team. Henryk Jabłoński
Henryk Jan Jabłoński (; 27 December 1909 – 27 January 2003) was a Polish historian and politician. After 1948, he became a politician of the ruling Polish United Workers' Party, as well as a historian and professor at Warsaw University. He served as head of state of the People's Republic of Poland between 1972 and 1985. Life and career Jabłoński was born in Stary Waliszew in the Warsaw Governorate of Congress Poland. From 1931, he was a member of the Polish Socialist Party (PPS). During World War II he fought in the Battles of Narvik, battle of Narvik (Norway) and then joined the French Resistance. Edward Jablonski (March 1, 1922 – February 10, 2004) was the author of several biographies on American cultural personalities, such as George Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Alan Jay Lerner, and Irving Berlin, as well as books on aviation history. Early life Jablonski was born in Bay City, Michigan, to a family of Polish-American journalists and writers. His father had been a writer for Sztandar Polski and another relative, Paul F. Jablonski, wrote for ''The Bay City Times''. Early on he fell in love with the music of George and Ira Gershwin. Hanna Hryhorivna Mashutina (; July 20, 1981 – January 24, 2011), known under her pseudonyms Anna Yablonskaya () or Hanna Yablonska (), was a Ukrainian playwright and poet, and one of the victims of the 2011 Domodedovo International Airport bombing. Jonas Jablonskis
Jonas Jablonskis (; 30 December 1860, in Kubilėliai, Šakiai district – 23 February 1930, in Kaunas) was a distinguished Lithuanian linguist and one of the founders of the standard Lithuanian language. He used the pseudonym ''Rygiškių Jonas'', taken from the small town named Rygiškiai where he spent his childhood. Biography After graduation from Marijampolė Gymnasium, Jablonskis studied classical languages at the University of Moscow from 1881 to 1885.
