Zulu ( ), or isiZulu as an endonym, is a Southern Bantu languages, Southern Bantu language of the Nguni languages, Nguni branch spoken in, and indigenous to, Southern Africa. Nguni dialects are regional or social varieties of the Nguni language, distinguished by vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and other linguistic features. Jabulani "Jabs" Newby (born August 15, 1991) is a Jamaican-Canadian professional basketball player for the Brampton Honey Badgers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). Newby played college basketball for Eastern Kentucky University and Gannon. High school career Newby initially competed at the high school level with St. Marguerite d'Youville Secondary School in his hometown of Brampton, Ontario. Newby played his junior and senior years of high school prep basketball under head coach Rob Fulford at Mountain State Academy in Beckley, West Virginia. As a junior, his team finished with a record of 29–7 and was considered one of the top-30 in the United States. The Zulu word ''jabulani'' translates as: to be happy, or to bring joy and happiness. PJ Powers (born Penelope Jane Dunlop, 16 July 1960, Durban) is a South African singer and performer. She became a household name in southern Africa after the widespread success of the song “Jabulani”. When she played at the Jabulani Amphitheatre in 1983 she was hailed by the crowd with the name “Thandeka”. On the stage she drank from a calabash as part of the performance to the delight of the audience. The Jabulani ( , ) was a football manufactured by Adidas. It was the official match ball for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The ball is made from eight spherically moulded panels and has a textured surface intended to improve aerodynamics. Jabulani Sibanda is the former chairman of Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA), an organisation originally comprising all the veterans that fought during the Second Chimurenga or Zimbabwe War of Liberation which ended in 1979, although he took no part in the war. Under his leadership the ZNLWVA mobilised War Veterans and other ZANU PF sympathisers in the forced and often violent appropriation of farmland they claimed to have been stolen during colonisation.
