Jaban (film)
''Jaban'' () is a 1972 Bengali romantic drama film directed by Palash Banerjee. The film stars Amitabh Bacchan, Dharmendra, Biswajit and Shatrughan Sinha. Plot Binu and Laxmi love each other. They want to marry but Laxmi's uncle sells her to Janardan, who sends her to a brothel. Binu is framed for theft and sent to prison. Ajitesh Bandopadhyay
Ajitesh Bandopadhyay (; born: 30 September 1933 ― 13 October 1983) was an Indian actor, playwright, activist and director. He along with Shambhu Mitra and Utpal Dutt are considered to be the doyens of Bengali theatre of the post - Independence era. Early life He was born as Ajit, at Ropogram in Purulia District, West Bengal at his maternal uncle's house. Chinmoy Roy
Chinmoy Roy (1940–2019) was an Indian Bengali actor. He was famous for his comic roles in Bengali movies, though his versatility allowed him to play a variety of roles. Though he was known for portraying various character roles, Roy was equally at ease in portraying the famous fictional character Tenida on screen. He held his own among prominent performers like Soumitra Chatterjee, Robi Ghose and Tarun Kumar in the comedies ''Basanto Bilap'', ''Dhonni Meye'', and ''Nanigopaler Biye''. Shambhu Bhattacharya (1935 – 26 January 2018) was a Bengali actor and stage artist. Career Bhattacharya started his acting career in theatre in Kolkata. He worked in several stage productions of Utpal Dutt, Jahor Roy and Rabi Ghosh. He was a bodybuilder from Baghbazar Bayam Samity. Bhattacharya became popular mainly for his antagonistic role in Bengali films.
