Jabal Thuaileb
Jabal Thuaileb () is a Qatari district in the municipality of Al Daayen. It is also a census-designated district of Ad-Dawhah. It is closely situated to Lusail. After a cabinet resolution was passed in 2002, Jabal Thuaileb became the one of three districts in Qatar where foreigners could own real estate. Etymology The "jabal" portion of the district's name means "hill" or "mountain" or in Arabic. "Thuaileb" is derived from the Arabic word "thaalab", which translates to "fox" in English. It was so named due to the presence of a prominent hill and the habitation of foxes in the area. Qatar, officially the State of Qatar, is a country in West Asia. Al Daayen
Al Daayen ( [; Romanization of Arabic, Wehr: ]; also spelled as [; Wehr: ]) is a Municipalities of Qatar, municipality in Qatar. Most of the urban landscape can be found in the southern zone of the municipality, particularly in the city of Lusail, while the northern and central sections are primarily rural. Ad-Dawhah (municipality)
Ad-Dawhah (, ' or ''ad-Dōḥa'', ) is one of the eight municipalities of Qatar. It is the most populous municipality with a population of 1,186,023 in 2020, and is the municipality of Qatar's capital city, Doha. Etymology According to the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, the name "Doha" originated from the Arabic language, Arabic term "dohat", which means "roundness". Zones Of Qatar
In the administrative divisions of Qatar, zones ( ''manāṭiq''; singular ''minṭaqa'') are the second-highest level of government after municipalities. As of the 2015 census, there were 98 zones across the country. However, several of these zones are not currently in use. Over the years, numerous changes in zones have taken place. Municipalities Of Qatar
Since 2015, Qatar has been divided into eight Municipality, municipalities. In 2004, a new municipality, Al Daayen, was created under Resolution No. 13, formed from parts of Umm Salal and Al Khawr; at the same time, Al Ghuwariyah was merged with Al Khawr; Al Jumaliyah was merged with Ar Rayyan; Jarayan al Batnah was split between Al Rayyan and Al Wakrah; and Mesaieed was merged with Al Wakrah. Lusail
Lusail (, , ) is the second-largest city in Qatar after Doha, and the economic capital of Qatar, located on the coast, in the southern part of the municipality of Al Daayen. Qatar Investment Authority
The Qatar Investment Authority (QIA; ) is Qatar's sovereign wealth fund. The QIA was founded by the State of Qatar in 2005 to strengthen the country's economy by diversifying into new asset classes. In November 2024, the QIA had an estimated $526 billion of assets under management. The QIA's structure and decision-making procedures have been characterized as non-transparent.
