Jaafar Shenaishil
Jaafar Shenaishil (born 26 April 2003) is an Iraqi professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Iraqi Stars League side Al-Minaa. Club career Shenaishil started playing football at the Al-Minaa Academy, and was able to win with Al-Minaa U19 team the Iraqi Youth Premier League in 2022. In September 2022, he was promoted to play with the club's first team, and was able with his team to win the Iraqi Premier Division League and promotion to the Iraq Stars League. In August 2023, his contract with Al-Minaa was renewed and he played in the starting lineup regularly in the Iraqi Stars League, and got 12 clean sheets, and won the Goalkeeper of the Round award in December 2023 and July 2024, and the team coach, Hassan Ahmed, considered him one of the main pillars of the team and considered his presence very important in every match that Al-Minaa plays. Radhi Shenaishil Swadi (; born 11 August 1966) is a former Iraqi footballer and former coach of the Iraq national football team. Playing career Radhi Shenaishil was born and brought up in Al-Thawra City in Baghdad. He captained an Iraqi Under 20s team and helped them to top their group which included Spain, Norway and Argentina, who they beat 1–0 with Radhi scoring the winner from a penalty against a side featuring Diego Simeone and Roberto Bonano in the FIFA World Youth Championship in Saudi Arabia in 1989. The libero was voted into the Asian Cup select team XI at the 1996 Asian Cup with teammate Laith Hussein after helping Iraq to the quarter-finals. 2022–23 Iraqi First Division League
The 2022–23 Iraqi First Division League was the 49th season of what is now called the Iraqi Premier Division League, the second tier of the Iraqi football league system, since its establishment in 1974. The number of clubs in the league have varied throughout history for various reasons. The top two teams are promoted to the Iraq Stars League, while the bottom two teams in each group are directly relegated to the Iraqi Second Division League. The 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup was the 6th edition of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup (previously the AFC U-23 Championship before rebranding from 2021), the biennial international age-restricted football championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-23 national teams of Asia.
