All-Japan Seamen's Union
The All-Japan Seamen's Union (JSU; ja, 全日本海員組合, Kaiin) is a trade union representing seafarers and harbour workers in the marine industry, in Japan. The union was founded on 5 October 1945, as the successor to the pre-war Japan Seamen's Union. It was a founding affiliate of the National Trade Union Council, but as that federation moved to the left, it quit and formed the All-Japan Trade Union Congress. From 1960, it supported the Democratic Socialist Party, but dropped this in 1973. In 1964, the union was a founding affiliate of the Japanese Confederation of Labour, and by 1967 it had 142,935 members. Jacksonville State University
Jacksonville State University (JSU) is a public university in Jacksonville, Alabama. Founded in 1883, Jacksonville State offers programs of study in six academic schools leading to bachelor's, master's, education specialist, and doctorate degrees in addition to certificate programs and continuing education opportunities. In the Fall semester of 2011, JSU began offering the school's first doctoral degree, Doctor of Science in Emergency Management. In 2016, the university gained approval to offer its second doctorate, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. The university was founded as Jacksonville State Normal School, and in 1930, the name changed to Jacksonville State Teachers College, and again in 1957, to Jacksonville State College. The Jewish Student Union, or JSU is an organization run by the Orthodox Union's youth group, NCSY. Created in 2002, JSU attempts to create Jewish culture clubs in public schools across the United States. JSU was created to serve a broad spectrum of Jewish teens from all different backgrounds and affiliations. Clubs bearing the "JSU" or "Jewish Student Union" name are run by the Orthodox Union. JSU clubs are aimed at educating Jewish youth in public schools about Jewish culture, heritage, and religion. The Unified Socialist Youth (Spanish: Juventudes Socialistas Unificadas; JSU) was a youth organization formed in the spring of 1936 in Spain through the amalgamation of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) and Communist Party of Spain (PCE) youth groups.
