JPC De Sprengen
JPC de Sprengen is a penitentiary facility for boys (''Juridisch Pedagogisch Centrum'', Juridic Pedagogic Center) located in Wapenveld and Zutphen in the Netherlands. The facilities offer treatment as well as shelter or imprisonment. The two locations have a total capacity for 150 youth aged 12 to 24 years old. Placement in ''De Sprengen'' can be done as punishment for a committed crime or as a measure to protect a boy before he commits crimes. The facility is run by the Dutch Ministry of Justice. Wapenveld
Wapenveld is a village in the eastern Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Heerde, Gelderland, about 10 km from Zwolle and 100 km from Amsterdam. The village with 6,000 inhabitants, is situated where the valley of the river IJssel meets the Veluwe woods. The Apeldoornse kanaal, which once was used by ships to shortcut the IJssel, runs right through it. The people of Wapenveld earn their living from agriculture (mainly cattle) and industry, mainly AKZO Nobel. Until 2008 Wapenveld was also home to the Berghuizer paper factory. A notable person born in Wapenveld is the speedskater Gerard van Velde. Zutphen
Zutphen () is a city and municipality located in the province of Gelderland, Netherlands. It lies some 30 km northeast of Arnhem, on the eastern bank of the river Ijssel at the point where it is joined by the Berkel. First mentioned in the 11th century, the place-name appears to mean "south fen" ( in modern Dutch).
