JDS Sagami
''Sagami'' (AOE-421) is the only ship of her type in the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force. She was commissioned on 30 March 1979. She is succeeded by Towada-class replenishment ship, ''Towada'' class. Design Immediately after the bow, a one-story deck room is provided up to the stern across the bridge, and the 01 deck on the upper surface is also the entire deck. The 01 deck in front of the bridge structure is considered to be the work deck. On the other hand, the rear part was the helicopter platform, and it is capable of carrying one Sikorsky SH-3 Sea King, HSS-2 helicopter. The bridge structure has a five-story structure counting from the main deck, and the living quarters are centrally located here. Pennant Number
In the Royal Navy and other navies of Europe and the Commonwealth of Nations, ships are identified by pennant number (an internationalisation of ''pendant number'', which it was called before 1948). Historically, naval ships flew a flag that identified a flotilla or type of vessel. For example, the Royal Navy used a red burgee for torpedo boats and a pennant with an H for torpedo boat destroyers. Adding a number to the type-identifying flag uniquely identified each ship. In the current system, a letter prefix, called a ''flag superior'', identifies the type of ship, and numerical suffix, called a flag inferior, uniquely identifies an individual ship. Not all pennant numbers have a flag superior. The Sikorsky SH-3 Sea King (company designation S-61) is an American twin-engine anti-submarine warfare (ASW) helicopter designed and built by Sikorsky Aircraft. A landmark design, it was one of the first ASW rotorcraft to use turboshaft engines. The Sea King has its origins in efforts by the United States Navy to counter the growing threat of Soviet submarines during the 1950s. Russian Battleship Peresvet
''Peresvet'' () was the lead ship of the three pre-dreadnought battleships built for the Imperial Russian Navy at the end of the nineteenth century. The ship was transferred to the Pacific Squadron upon completion and based at Port Arthur from 1903. Laying the keel or laying down is the formal recognition of the start of a shipbuilding, ship's construction. It is often marked with a ceremony attended by dignitaries from the shipbuilding company and the ultimate owners of the ship. The ''Towada''-class is a series of replenishment oilers of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF). Three ships of the class were built between 1985-89. The ships have the hull designator AOE. Helicopter Deck
A helicopter deck (or helo deck) is a helicopter pad on the deck of a ship, usually located on the stern and always clear of obstacles that would prove hazardous to a helicopter landing. In the United States Navy, it is commonly and properly referred to as the flight deck. In the UK's Fleet Air Arm, ''landing on'' is usually achieved by first lining up on the port quarter parallel to the ship's heading, then once the deck motion is deemed to be acceptable the pilot sidesteps the aircraft laterally using a white painted line (the bum line) as a reference.
