J. Page R. Wadsworth
Jeffery Page Rein Wadsworth (27 July 1911 – 21 January 1997) was a Canadian banker who served as president and chairman of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Wadsworth joined the Canadian Bank of Commerce in Port Credit in 1928. Over the next three decades he was appointed to several managerial positions, and in 1957 was elected a director and appointed a vice-president. After the bank's merger with the Imperial Bank of Canada in 1961, he became general manager and vice-president of the new bank. In May 1963 he succeeded Neil John McKinnon to become the bank's second president. Wadsworth held the presidency until December 1964, when he became vice-chairman and transferred to Montreal. In September 1971 he was reappointed president, by which time he had become deputy chairman also. The appointment came along with the title of chief executive officer. Weston is a neighbourhood and former town in Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The neighbourhood is situated in the northwest of the city, south of Highway 401 and Highway 400/Black Creek Drive, east of the Humber River (Ontario), Humber River, north of Eglinton Avenue, and west of Jane Street (Toronto), Jane Street. Christopher William Bunting
Christopher William Bunting (1 September 1837 – 14 January 1896) was an Irish-born politician, merchant, newspaper owner and newspaper publisher. Born in Amigan, Limerick, Ireland, he was the son of William Bunting and Jane Crowe and came to Canada West with his mother and sister in 1850 after the death of his father. Bunting worked as a compositor at '' The Globe'', later becoming a foreman. He then worked for eleven years in the wholesale grocery business. In 1868, he married Mary Elizabeth Ellis. In 1877, in partnership with John Riordon, he became co-owner of ''The Toronto Mail''. The partners gained control of the ''Toronto Empire'' in 1895 and amalgamated the two papers to form ''The Mail and Empire''. Bunting was elected to the House of Commons of Canada as a Member of the Liberal-Conservatives in the 1878 election to represent the riding of Welland. Grace Church on-the-Hill is a parish of the Anglican Church of Canada in the Anglican Diocese of Toronto, Diocese of Toronto. The parish church is located at 300 Lonsdale Road, in the Forest Hill, Toronto, Forest Hill area of Toronto, Ontario. Grace Church is featured in the novel ''A Prayer for Owen Meany'' by John Irving, and it is a member of the Churches on the Hill group. History Work on the current building, designed by Eden Smith, began in May 1912. Opening services at the new church took place on 21 December 1913. In 1923, the Parish Hall, with an auditorium and gymnasium below, was completed, as well as the vestries on the north side of the chancel. The original Eden Smith design was completed in 1938, including a chapel on the south side. A two-story addition on the west side was built in 1955 as an Education Centre.
