Anton Alekseev (mathematician)
Anton Yurevich Alekseev (Антон Юрьевич Алексеев, born 9 August 1967) is a Russian mathematician. Alekseev was a student of Ludvig Faddeev. Alekseev worked at the Steklov Institute in Saint Petersburg and, at the beginning of the 1990s, at Uppsala University, Sweden. He is now a professor ordinarius at the University of Geneva. Alekseev does research on representation theory of Lie groups and algebras, moment theory, symplectic geometry and mathematical physics. In 2006 he, with Eckhard Meinrenken, published in ''Inventiones Mathematicae'' a proof of the Kashiwara-Vergne conjecture. In 2008 he gave a new proof with Charles Torossian. In 2014 Alekseev was an invited speaker with talk ''Three lives of the Gelfand-Zeitlin integrable system'' at the International Congress of Mathematicians in Seoul. ''Current Contents'' is a rapid alerting service database from Clarivate, formerly the Institute for Scientific Information and Thomson Reuters. It is published online and in several different printed subject sections. History ''Current Contents'' was first published in paper format, in a single edition devoted only to biology and medicine. The Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) is a citation index owned by Clarivate and previously by Thomson Reuters. It was created by the Eugene Garfield at the Institute for Scientific Information, launched in 1964 as Science Citation Index (SCI). Susanna Terracini
Susanna Terracini (born April 29, 1963) is an Italian mathematician known for her research on chaos in Hamiltonian dynamical systems, including the ''n''-body problem, reaction–diffusion systems, and the Schrödinger equation. Terracini was born in South London. She earned a laurea in 1986 in mathematics at the University of Turin, supervised by Fulvia Skof. She completed her Ph.D. at the International School for Advanced Studies in 1990. Her dissertation, ''Periodic Solutions to Singular Newtonian Systems'', was supervised by Ivar Ekeland and Sergio Solimini. She was a researcher at Paris Dauphine University from 1988 to 1989, and became a faculty member at the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1990. In 2001 she became a full professor at the University of Milano-Bicocca, and in 2012 she returned to Turin as a professor.
