J. B. Pardiwala
Jamshed Burjor Pardiwala (born 12 August 1965) is an Indian jurist who is serving as a judge of the Supreme Court of India since May 2022. He is a former judge of the Gujarat High Court and is in line to become the Chief Justice of India in May 2028. He is expected to serve for a term of 2 years and 3 months. Early life and career Pardiwala was born on 12 August 1965 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, in a family of lawyers. His father, Burjor Cawasji Pardiwala, was a third-generation lawyer and served as a member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from the Congress party. Pardiwala studied at St. Joseph's E. T. High School in Valsad, Gujarat. He completed his degree in Law from K.M. Law College, Valsad, in 1988 and started practice at Valsad in 1989. The Gujarat Legislative Assembly or Gujarat Vidhan Sabha is the unicameral legislature of the Indian state of Gujarat, in the state capital Gandhinagar. Presently, 182 members of the Legislative Assembly are directly elected from single-member constituencies (seats). It has a term of 5 years unless it is dissolved sooner. 13 constituencies are reserved for scheduled castes and 27 constituencies for scheduled tribes. Ram Nath Kovind
Ram Nath Kovind ( ; born 1 October 1945) is an Indian politician and lawyer who served as the president of India from 2017 to 2022. He is the first person from Uttar Pradesh to serve as the president. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and also the first person from the party to become the president. Prior to his presidency, he served as the Governor of Bihar from 2015 to 2017. He also served as a Member of Rajya Sabha from 1994 to 2006.
