J.C. Bloem-poëzieprijs
The J.C. Bloem-poëzieprijs (Dutch language, Dutch for J.C. Bloem Poetry Prize) is a biennial Dutch literary award. The award is named after Dutch poet and essayist J. C. Bloem and is awarded to a Netherlands, Dutch or Flanders, Flemisch poet's second collection of poems. The award was created in 2001 and first awarded in 2003. Saskia Stuiveling was head of the jury of the J.C. Bloem-poëzieprijs until her death in 2017. As of 2018 Roger van Boxtel is head of the jury. Dutch ( ) is a West Germanic languages, West Germanic language of the Indo-European language family, spoken by about 25 million people as a first language and 5 million as a second language and is the List of languages by total number of speakers, third most spoken Germanic language. Maarten van der Graaff (born 14 October 1987) is a Dutch poet. Career Van der Graaff made his debut with ''Vluchtautogedichten'' (2013). He won the C. Buddingh'-prijs in 2014 for this debut. He received the J.C. Bloem-poëzieprijs for his second poetry collection ''Dood Werk'' (2015). In 2017, he made his debut as novelist with the novel ''Wormen en engelen''. Ester Naomi Perquin
Ester Naomi Perquin (born 1980) is a Dutch poet. Early life and education Ester Naomi Perquin was born in 1980 in Utrecht and grew up in Zierikzee. She worked in the prison service to pay for her studies at the school of creative writing in Amsterdam. Career Perquin was editor for the literary journal ''Tirade'' and wrote a column for the weekly ''De Groene Amsterdammer''. She was also the city poet for Rotterdam for two years. According to the Book of Genesis, Hagar is an Egyptian slave, a handmaiden of Sarah (then known as ''Sarai''), whom Sarah gave to her own husband Abram (later renamed Abraham) as a wife to bear him a child. Abraham's firstborn son, through Hagar, Ishmael, became the progenitor of the Ishmaelites, generally taken to be the Arabs.
