J-Cup Tournament
The J-Cup Tournament is an annual tournament held by Women Superstars Uncensored, in which the winner earns of shot at the WSU Championship. The inaugural tournament was hosted by National Wrestling Superstars in 2006 as an extension of the Jersey J-Cup, which NWS dubbed the Chris Candido Memorial J-Cup Tournament. In 2008, NWS co-hosted the second tournament in collaboration with WSU as the J-Cup Tournament. Both promotions co-promoted the tournament until 2010, after which it became exclusive to WSU. Women Superstars Uncensored
Women Superstars United (WSU), formerly known as Wrestling Superstars Unleashed and Women Superstars Uncensored, was an American women's professional wrestling promotion based in New Jersey which has been inactive since 2020. Founded in 2006, WSU events combine professional wrestling interspersed with both serious and comedic storylines. In the early 2010s, WSU collaborated with other wrestling promotions such as National Wrestling Superstars and Dragon Gate USA. The company has remained inactive since 2020. In 2013 WSU was purchased by the owner of Combat Zone Wrestling D. J. Hyde, and from then onwards CZW and WSU have been closely-linked, with WSU events often running in a venue earlier the same day of a CZW event. The Super J-Cup is a periodically held professional wrestling tournament featuring junior heavyweight wrestlers from all over the world promoted by New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). This tournament differs from NJPW's annual Best of the Super Juniors tournament in that it is single elimination, while Best of the Super Juniors has a round robin format. The Super J-Cup was originally conceived by Japanese wrestler Jushin Thunder Liger as a showcase for promotions from Asia and North America, including Liger's home promotion New Japan Pro-Wrestling (who hosted the first tournament in 1994), Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling, Wrestle Association R, Michinoku Pro Wrestling, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, and the Social Progress Wrestling Federation. British J-Cup is a professional wrestling single elimination tournament produced by Revolution Pro Wrestling (RPW). The tournament features junior heavyweight wrestlers from all over the world. It consists of singles matches which wrestlers win to qualify to the final, a four-way elimination match. The winner of the tournament, if not the reigning champion, is awarded a title shot for the Undisputed British Cruiserweight Championship.
