Izzy Scane
Isabelle Rae Scane is an American lacrosse player who competed for the Northwestern Wildcats. She won the 2023 NCAA championship with Northwestern and twice received the Tewaaraton Award as the best player in the country. She broke the all-time NCAA Division I goals record in 2024. Early life Scane was raised in Clarkston, Michigan, the daughter of Joseph and Patricia Scane, and has three brothers. Her parents met at Grand Valley State University, where her father wrestled and her mother ran track. She started playing lacrosse in sixth grade after previously competing in gymnastics. She played club lacrosse for the Detroit Lacrosse Club and then Boston-based Mass Elite. Northwestern Wildcats Women's Lacrosse
The Northwestern Wildcats women's lacrosse team is an NCAA Division I college lacrosse team representing Northwestern University as part of the Big Ten Conference. It was a member of the American Lacrosse Conference until the 2013-14 season, when the conference was dissolved as the Big Ten was sponsoring women's lacrosse from the 2014-15 season. The team began competition at the varsity level in 1982, operated as a club sport from 1993 to 2001, and resumed play at the varsity level in 2002. They play their home games at Lanny & Sharon Martin Stadium and Ryan Fieldhouse in Evanston, IL. From 2005 to 2009, the team won the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship five consecutive times and recorded two undefeated seasons. Charlotte North
Charlotte North (born March 3, 1999) is an American lacrosse player for the Boston Guard of the Women's Lacrosse League. She formerly played on the Duke Blue Devils and Boston College Eagles, where she became a two-time Tewaaraton Award winner. Early years Charlotte North was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, by Kerry and Paula North. She participated in a variety of sports as a child, with a concentration on basketball. She started playing lacrosse in seventh grade, and in high school it became her main focus. At the Episcopal School of Dallas, North scored 372 goals on her varsity lacrosse team. Hannah Nielsen
Hannah Nielsen (born 28 November 1987 in Adelaide, Australia) is the current head coach of the University of Michigan women’s lacrosse team. She was formerly the first women's lacrosse assistant coach at the University of Colorado. Originally from the Brighton Lacrosse Club in Adelaide (also the home club of Jen Adams), Nielsen played for the Northwestern University Wildcats, and won four national championships as a player. She was a three-time All-American, and is a winner of both the Tewaaraton Trophy and Honda Sports Award in her junior and senior seasons. She holds NCAA records for career assists, assists in a season, and assists in single game. In team sports, a most valuable player (MVP) award is an honor typically bestowed upon an individual (or individuals, in the instance of a tie) whose individual performance is the greatest in an entire league, for a particular competition, or on a specific team. The 2012 NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Championship was the thirty-first annual single-elimination tournament to determine the national championship for National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I women's college lacrosse.
