Izeh County () is in Khuzestan province, Khuzestan Province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Izeh. History After the 2006 National Census, Susan-e Gharbi Rural District, Susan-e Gharbi and Susan-e Sharqi Rural District, Susan-e Sharqi Rural Districts were separated from the Central District (Izeh County), Central District in the formation of Susan District. In 2021, Central District (Dezpart County), Dehdez District was separated from the county in the establishment of Dezpart County. Demographics Ethnicity The vast majority of its population is from the Bakhtiari people, Bakhtiari tribe, one of the largest in Iran. Dehdez () is a city in the Central District of Dezpart County, Khuzestan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district. It was the administrative center for Dehdez Rural District until its capital was transferred to the village of Deh Kohneh-ye Muzarm. Demographics Population At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 3,610 in 651 households, when it was the capital of Dehdez District of Izeh County. Bakhtiari People
The Bakhtiari (also spelled Bakhtiyari; Persian language, Persian:بختیاری) are a Lurs, Lur tribe from Iran. They speak the Bakhtiari dialect of the Luri language. Bakhtiaris primarily inhabit Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari and eastern Khuzestan, Lorestan, Bushehr province, Bushehr, and Isfahan province, Isfahan provinces. Bakhtiari tribes have an especially large population concentration in the cities of Masjed Soleyman, Izeh, Shahr-e Kord, and Andika County, Andika, and the surrounding villages.
