Iwan Shenton
Iwan Shenton is a Welsh rugby union player who plays as a flanker for United Rugby Championship side Scarlets. Professional career Youth and amateur rugby As a youth player, Shenton played for Tonna RFC and was part of the Ospreys Academy. He also captained Cardiff Met in the BUCS Super Rugby competition. Shenton played for Aberavon in the Indigo Group Premiership. Shenton also played for Llanelli RFC, serving as captain on numerous occasions. Scarlets For the 2022–2023 season, Shenton signed for the Scarlets. Shenton made his first appearance in a preseason friendly against Bristol Bears. He made his competitive debut for the Scarlets in Round 7 of the 2022–23 United Rugby Championship against Leinster. Tonna RFC
Tonna Rugby Football Club is a rugby union team from the village of Tonna, Wales. Tonna RFC is a member of the Welsh Rugby Union and is a feeder club for the Ospreys. History Although it is believed that Tonna RFC existed before 1888, the club was first mentioned during the 1887/88 season, when the Cambria Daily Reader stated that Tonna RFC were drawn to play Mynydd-bach in the local Neath cup challenge. It is therefore regarded that Tonna RFC came into being on 28 February 1888. Tonna RFC's first international player was David Harris Davies. Although he played for Neath RFC at the time of his one and only cap against Scotland in 1904, he came through the playing ranks of Tonna. 2022–23 United Rugby Championship
The 2022–23 United Rugby Championship was the 22nd season of the professional rugby union competition United Rugby Championship. It began on 16 September 2022 and ended on 27 May 2023. For sponsorship reasons it was known in South Africa as Vodacom United Rugby Championship or Vodacom URC, while in the Northern Hemisphere it was known as the BKT United Rugby Championship or BKT URC. Aberavon RFC Players
Aberavon () is a town and community in Neath Port Talbot county borough, Wales. The town derived its name from being near the mouth of the river Afan, which also gave its name to a medieval lordship. Today it is essentially a district of Port Talbot, covering the central and south western part of the town. Scarlets Players
The Scarlets () are one of the four professional Welsh people, Welsh rugby union teams and are based in Llanelli, Wales. Their home ground is the Parc y Scarlets stadium. They play in the United Rugby Championship and in European Professional Club Rugby competitions. The club was originally named the Llanelli Scarlets but was renamed at the start of the 2008–09 rugby season. Bristol Bears (officially Bristol Rugby Club or Bristol Rugby) are a professional rugby union club based in Bristol, England. They play in Premiership Rugby, England's top division of rugby.
