Ivo Pertile
Ivo Pertile (born 12 August 1971) is an Italian former ski jumper who competed from 1986 to 1996. Career Pertile finished eighth in the team large hill and 31st in the individual normal hill events at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. His best finish at the Ski Jumping World Championships was 23rd in the normal hill event in Val di Fiemme in 1991. He also finished 17th at the 1994 Ski Flying World Championships in Planica. Predazzo
Predazzo (, literally big meadow) is a village and ''comune'' in the province of Trento, northern Italy. Predazzo is located about 58 kilometres northeast of Trento in Val di Fiemme. It is one of the main centers of Val di Fiemme (the other is Cavalese), being the most populous and widespread of the valley. It is an important road junction and trade between the valleys of Fiemme and Fassa and the area of Primiero. Predazzo is also the home of Pastificio Felicetti, a maker of pasta. The FIS Ski Flying World Ski Championships 1994 took place on 20 March 1994 in Planica, Slovenia for the record fourth time. It also counted for World Cup. They previously hosted the championships as being part of Yugoslavia in 1972, 1979 and 1985. A ski is a narrow strip of semi-rigid material worn underfoot to glide over snow. Substantially longer than wide and characteristically employed in pairs, skis are attached to ski boots with ski bindings, with either a free, lockable, or partially secured heel. For climbing slopes, ski skins (originally made of seal fur, but now made of synthetic materials) can be attached at the base of the ski. The FIS Ski Jumping World Cup is the world's highest level of ski jumping and the FIS Ski Flying World Cup as the subdivisional part of the competition. It was founded by Torbjørn Yggeseth for the 1979/80 season and organized by the International Ski Federation. Women began competing during the 2011/12 season. The rounds are hosted primarily in Europe, with regular stops in Japan and rarely in North America. Letalnica bratov Gorišek ( en, Flying hill of Gorišek brothers) is one of the two largest ski flying hills in the world and the biggest of eight hills located at the Planica Nordic Centre in Planica, Slovenia. It was built in 1969 and is named after the original constructors and brothers Vlado and Janez Gorišek. Since its opening, a total of 28 world records were set at the venue. Yugoslav ski jumper Miro Oman made the inaugural test jump of on 6 March 1969. The first FIS Ski Flying World Championships were organized on the hill in 1972.
