Ivica Rajković
Ivica Rajković (24 March 1935 – 11 November 2024) was a Croatian cinematographer. Life and career Earlier in his career, Rajković worked as a photographer for Jadran Film, and later as an assistant to Tomislav Pinter. Rajković shot a total of 20 featured films, three television series, approximately 80 documentary films, and more than 3000 commercials. Rajković received a Golden Arena for Best Cinematography in 1968 and a Vladimir Nazor Award for Life Achievement in Film in 2012. Rajković died on 11 November 2024, at the age of 89. The Rat Savior
''The Rat Saviour'' () or ''The Redeemer'' is a 1976 Croatian fantasy horror film directed by Krsto Papić. It was awarded as the best film at the 1977 International Science Fiction Film Festival in Trieste, the 1980 Paris International Festival of Fantastic and Science-Fiction Film and 1982 Fantasporto. The film was selected as the Yugoslav entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 49th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee. In 1999, a poll of Croatian film critics found it to be one of the best Croatian films ever made. In 2003, Papić directed sequel or/and remake, titled ''Infection'' ('' Infekcija''). ''The Secret of Nikola Tesla'' (), is a 1980 Yugoslav biographical film which dramatizes events in the life of the Serbian-American engineer and inventor Nikola Tesla. This somewhat fictionalized portrayal of Tesla's life has him contending with Thomas Edison and J.P. Morgan in his attempts to develop alternating current and then "free" wireless power. Plot Tesla in a hotel room in 1943 talks to a reporter. He then reminisces about how things would be different if J. P Morgan had listened to him. Tesla arrives in the US in the 1880s. He tries to convince his new employer, Thomas Edison, to adopt his newly invented electric induction motor running on an alternating current (AC) system but Edison claims direct current (DC) is better and turns him down. Udbina
Udbina is a settlement and a municipality in historical Krbava, in the Lika region of Croatia. Administratively, it is part of the Lika-Senj County.
