Ivar Lykke Falch Lind
Ivar Lykke Falch Lind (27 February 1870 – 2 July 1951) was a Norwegian jurist and politician for the Conservative Party. He was elected to the Parliament of Norway in 1903, and served one term. From 1920 to 1912 he served as a deputy representative. Lind was mayor of Kinn Municipality from 1923 to 1928, and from 1926 to 1928 he was temporary County Governor of Sogn og Fjordane after the County Governor Ingolf Elster Christensen was appointed to the cabinet Lykke. The Conservative Party or The Right (, , , H; ) is a liberal-conservative political party in Norway. It is the major party of the Norwegian centre-right, and was the leading party in government as part of the Solberg cabinet from 2013 to 2021. The current party leader is former Prime Minister Erna Solberg. The party is a member of the International Democracy Union and an associate member of the European People's Party. The party is traditionally a pragmatic and politically moderate conservative party strongly associated with the traditional elites within the civil service and Norwegian business life. The Storting ( ; ) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. Kinn (former Municipality)
Kinn is a former municipality in the Sunnfjord district of Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. The parish of Kinn has existed for centuries and in 1838, the large parish was established as a municipality that existed from then until 1964. The municipality was centered around the island of Kinn where the main Kinn Church is located. The municipality encompassed most of the southern part of the present-day municipality of Kinn (same name, different borders) as well as parts of Askvoll (in the south) and the southwestern part of Bremanger (in the north). Upon its dissolution in 1964, it covered . Ingolf Elster Christensen
Ingolf Elster Christensen (28 March 1872 – 3 May 1943) was a Norwegian jurist, military officer, county governor, and Member of Parliament from the Conservative Party. Biography Christensen was born at Sunnfjord in Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. He was the son of Michael Sundt Tuchsen Christensen (1827–1895) and Frederikke Sophie Elster (1838–1927). He was a brother of author and critic Hjalmar Christensen. Christensen graduated from Bergen Cathedral School in 1889 and then went to the Norwegian Military Academy, where he graduated as an officer in 1893. He was appointed governor of the County of Nordre Bergenhus in 1910 and held the position until 1929 (in 1919 the county was renamed Sogn og Fjordane). He was subsequently county governor of Oslo and Akershus from 1929 to 1941. Vevring
Vevring is a former municipality in the old Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1964. It encompassed the land surrounding the western part of the Førdefjorden on both the north and south shores of the fjord in what is now Kinn, Askvoll, and Sunnfjord municipalities in Vestland county. It stretched from the Ålasundet strait (the narrowest part of the fjord) in the east to the mouth of the fjord in the west and from the in the north to the mountains south of the fjord. The municipality was in 1964 when it was dissolved. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Indrevevring (on the north shore of the fjord), where the Vevring Church is located. Sogn Og Fjordane
Sogn og Fjordane (; literally "Parish and the Fjords") was a Counties of Norway, county in western Norway, from 1 January 1919 to 31 December 2019, after it was merged to become part of Vestland county. Bordering previous counties Møre og Romsdal, Oppland, Buskerud, and Hordaland, the county administration was in the village of Hermansverk in Leikanger, Leikanger municipality. The largest town in the county was Førde (town), Førde.
